Even though the adidas Originals Tubular is considered a brand new model, it's inspired by existing sneakers, so that feeling of familiarity is one that's unshakeable. The heel counter borrows from the ZX 7000, the cushioned EVA foam midsole is from the Y-3 Qasa, and the overall silhouette is a nod to the original Tubular tech.

Taking that same concept of inspiration, what if other models, including ones that aren't even part of the adidas umbrella, took directly from the Tubular? Well, a designer did exactly that.

As a collaboration between the King of Trainers blog and graphic designer Rhys Designs, a slew of your favorite sneakers were given the Tubular treatment with an updated outsole. Some of the reimagined sneakers include the "Black/Cement" III, LeBron "Cork," and Patta x Diadora N.9000. Peep the images below to see the mashups.
